Philosophy 219, University of Vermont

Setting up a VPN to View Readings at Home

[UPDATE: As mentioned in class, you can also use EZProxy, here; that doesn't require downloading any software.]

Some of the readings for this class will be available through databases that UVM subscribes to, like JSTOR, ingentaconnect, and Blackwell Synergy. You can access these databases from UVM computers, but if you want to access them from a non-UVM computer you will have to set up a VPN. When you log into the VPN on your home network using your UVM password, you will be able to access the databases.

For instructions on setting up a VPN, go here. (Even though it says Dana Medical Library, you can follow these instructions to log into all library databases.)
